“Marguerite”, or the chronicles of a woman asleep”, is a show conceived with live music and singers who accompany the peculiar journey of a woman who, amid hallucinations, tells us about her life and passion: radio and radio listeners.
When Marguerite is fired from the radio station where she works, the number of followers who demand her presence multiplies while she is torn between the conscious and the unconscious after a painful breakup and her decision to “sleep” to forget. From a bed from which she does not have the courage to get off, she amuses and moves us with her peculiar reflection on love, the human condition and her need to wake up.
“Marguerite”, or the chronicles of a woman asleep”, is part of a trilogy of monologues that explore the complexities of love and its ravages developed by Neher Jaqueline Briceño who received the awards for Best Actress and Director from Premios Escena de Miami 2019 for the first monologue of the trilogy, “Cántame sobre el amor… y otras torturas “. This time the quartet is completed by three great Miami musicians: Inez Barlatier, Daniela Padrón and Michael Gil.
