Miami City Ballet is proud to create free programs for families to experience the beauty and fun of ballet in an interactive and dynamic format. Ballet for Families (“BFF”) engages all the senses as families learn, watch, dance and experience ballet through a narrated performance that is entertaining for all ages. Through friendly, interactive demonstrations from our wonderful dancers, you’ll learn how and when ballet began, what it takes to become a professional ballet dancer and how a ballet is created. Performed by the students of the Pre-Professional Division, Ballet for Families features excerpts from some of Miami City Ballet’s amazing ballets and music from some of the world’s greatest composers. Families are provided a colorful and educational related to the history of ballet, the ballets performed and the exciting world of dance. Miami City Ballet exists to impact people’s lives through the transformative power of dance.
